Deep Creek Adventures is nestled within view of the Killdeer Mountains and along the north side of the Little Missouri River in the rugged Badlands. The unique terrain has Cedar, Oak and Ash trees in the higher elevations, with Cottonwood and Willow growing near the river bottoms. The closest full-service towns are Watford City and Killdeer, both are about 35 miles away.

Includes cabin and hunting on the Bar U Ranch land. Our newest cabin has three bedrooms with a full sized bed and a single bunk in each room. Our other two cabins have one sleeping room with two built in (bunk style) king size beds.
All of the cabins have: refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, bathroom with shower, and a covered deck. Gas BBQ on covered deck. Renters must provide their own meals, bedding and towels.

The Hunt
The hunting fees are based on a six-day hunt. During orientation you will be shown to your cabin and given a tour of the Bar U Ranch where you will find numerous places to stalk or hunt from your tree stand. This is a self-guided bow hunt.
The North Dakota Deer Bowhunting season starts the first week of September (it can be warm) and runs until December 31 (it can be downright cold). You can use your All-Terrain Vehicle to retrieve your game only. (N.D. state law).
There will be approximately 750 Non-Resident Deer tags available. They go fast, so book early! The Whitetail bowtags are unlimited in numbers and are available anytime. (limited to one per person)
You will hunt from the Bar U ranch, a working cattle ranch. All three of our rustic cabins offer breathtaking scenery. Our newest cabin has three bedrooms and will accommodate 6 to 8 hunters. Our other two cabins will accommodate 2 to 4 hunters. Amenities include bathrooms with hot/cold running water, showers and electric heat. The cabins all have a refrigerator, microwave, electric hot plate, crock pot coffee makers and a gas grill on the deck.
For trophy-sized buck production we've had very limited hunting at Deep Creek Adventures in recent years, so we're expecting a banner harvest each season. We also have North Dakota Resident Elk hunts available. Sorry, no non-resident elk tags are available.
